Checazo
Multi-tenant time and attendance platform with facial recognition, built for Mexican labor law from day one.
Problem
Small and mid-size Mexican employers need time and attendance systems that hold up under labor inspections: proof that a clock-in actually happened, at that time, by that employee, with overtime computed the way Mexican law requires. Most attendance apps sold in Mexico don’t handle NOM-151 timestamping or local overtime rules correctly.
What I built
Checazo is a multi-tenant SaaS platform: each employer gets an isolated tenant, employees clock in through facial recognition powered by AWS Rekognition, and every clock event is timestamped under Mexico’s NOM-151 standard for digital evidence. Overtime calculation follows Mexican federal labor law rules rather than a generic configurable formula.
Outcome
A production platform employers can run payroll and labor compliance against, with attendance records that hold up both technically and legally.
